[Yuca is smiling, humming a quaint little children's song to himself while he gently pulls the sewing needle through a shirt that can be recognized as the overlarge one that Rain had been wearing upon his arrival. It looks significantly smaller now, possibly even the correct size.]

So, I've been thinking, [he murmurs happily,] we should organize some sort of order around here- it's all just chaos, even so far in- what about a schooling system? Or a law enforcement place? We should at least try to become a civilized society, even during all this madness.

[He smiles pleasantly at the camera, before looking back down to his sewing.]

Mm, Rain came back, can you believe it? I knew he would. He'll always come back for me. [A slight hint of the perfect way Yuca had lost his mind in those words, but it's only just barely there. He reaches up to his PCD after cutting the thread.]

While the little one is asleep, I figured I'd say...

[Yuca takes a deep breath, gently resting the garment in his lap. The smile slowly fades, and he looks almost sorrowful.]

Rain doesn't know me- he was taken from before he'd ever met me. [He swallows hard.] As it were... there are things I've done that I regret, more than anything, and what I did to him- might be one of them.

I'm going to ask each of you to keep what I've done to him- to Freya- a secret.

I know... it might not seem like the proper thing to ask, especially after all I've done, but- [Yuca pauses, before shaking his head, his gaze finding the floor.] -I just want him to stay safe. If he finds out- if he leaves me, I can't ensure that.

If you hear anything about him- any ill-will, or any attempt to get at me through him- please, alert me immediately. There will probably be cruel repercussions to him coming here, and he will stay safe, even if I have to die countless times to make sure of it. [The determination in his voice is almost frightening- Yuca means exactly what he says, every single damn word.]

I really do appreciate your hospitality, and I do plan on continuing to work with you, but the little one needs my support, and I feel that your lovely mansion just isn't a very good place to raise up a strapping young boy. And... I have one more condition to working with you- mister Kurotsuchi, this involves you too.

[He touches the tip of his index finger to his lips, smiling so sweetly, it couldn't be genuine.]

In all your schemes, present and future, you won't involve Rain- be it as a victim, an unwitting conspirator, or as a test subject. Stay out of his dreams and keep him off of your operating table and I'll continue doing my research for you both. Thank you!

[And look who's waking up now, perhaps a bit sooner than might be expected, but he's been sharing his bed with Freya for the past few years now and sleeping alone is never particularly restful for him anymore. He rubs the sleep from his eyes and turns over on his side to watch Yuca quietly while he works, not wanting to interrupt him.]

[He doesn't notice that Rain is awake, not at first. It's not until he just manages to catch a glimpse of the boy's big, blue eyes that Yuca stops what he's doing and looks up fully toward him with a small smile.]

Good morning, Rain! I fixed your shirt for you. [He holds it up- it's not quite done, but it's getting there.] I just have to sew up the right side and it should fit you much better.

Al has his chin on his hands, saying nothing. He's afraid. Afraid for all of them, but especially for Yuca, almost more than for Rain.]

[He's quiet. In a way, Yuca had expected to be scolded, told he shouldn't handle a child, asked where he lived- but perhaps that was for later.

Now, Yuca is setting down his sewing, staring off-camera (presumeably at the child that had started this whole fiasco), and taking a long, deep breath at the question.]

...I don't know, [he murmurs finally,] but he's going to be safe. And he's going to stay with me.

[There's a hint of possessiveness in that tone that isn't particularly sane.]
