Fifty-first rebirth [Video]

-ah, I think someone's after me.

[He frowns from where he's standing pressed up against the wall of an alleyway. In the distance, it's possible to hear Sirius Black's loud jeers- 'filthy muggle, come out to play-'

Yuca bites his lower lip, glancing around the corner before moving back into the alley with a big sigh.]

This isn't very nice. Oh- what do I do, what do I do-

[He is obviously very perplexed and a little alarmed that someone would want to actually kill him. Yuca moves deeper into the alley, watching behind his shoulder as he does.]

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to- ah-

[A random spell burst the nearby wall into flames, and Yuca broke out into a run. In between deep breaths, he manages to look down to his PCD with an alarmed little smile.]

W-well. If anyone's out there- some help would be appreciated.

[[ooc: What if Yuca was mortal? He grew up and lived in the orphanage with Rain and Freya and all the other orphans. D'awww.

Edit: Kurotsuchi is actually going to be the one to save widdle Yuca in an offline thread in this post. All replies will be delayed a few hours, after he's settled down and made cookies in the lab.]]

[Hanna has been kind of pissed off over all the crazy shit that has been happening. Sitting down for a few hours, reading logs, he's kind of aware that something is apparently wrong with him, but that's not the issue right now.]

Hey, so you make it out okay? Some one get the fucker that was after you?

[Hanna might be an ass, but running around killing people is seriously far past where he draws the line.]

[Yuca doesn't respond for awhile- but when he does, he's smiling and he nods, resting his chin on his hand. He's sitting down now, inside somewhere.]

Such language. But yes, I'm safe.

Whatever- its just good that someone else didn't die.

[Hanna already feels bad enough as it is that he couldn't do anything to stop it.]

People have been dying?

uh, yeah.

At least one so far, at least that's what I gathered.

[Can't say too much because he hadn't known either until Riku told him about it.]

That's unfortunate. I hope they find their way.

[He looks- saddened by it, yes. But not overly moved. Death was a fact of life, where he was from.]

It's cool that they can come back though, alive I mean. Having a bunch of pissed off ghosts around wouldn't be like, ideal.

Though I can't exactly imagine having to deal with death and coming back from it. Kind of screws up the order of things, right?

[It's a little concerning.]

I mean, shit, Hans was raised from the dead, but its not like he was brought back to life looking the same as he did. That's just, I dunno, creepy.

[Hanna sighs and shakes his head. This kid...geez.]

He died. Someone raised him from the dead, so he is living again. Just doesn't eat or breathe or drink. That clear enough for you?

It's useless, you know! By the time your disgusting muggle friends arrive, it will be far too late.

[He moves deeper into the alley, though he's casually following Yuca along. He knows that the muggle has no where to go from here.]

Though I don't mind if you keep resisting. The struggle makes it far more entertaining.

It's not meant to be entertaining!

[A little panicky now, as he jumps over a pile of debris, approaching the end of the alley. He glances over his shoulder again, biting his lip.]

Why are you doing this?

[As Kurotsuchi watches, the first thing that registers was that Yuca usually didn't sound like that. Even at his pseudo-nicest. The second thing was the fire. And after the few seconds it takes for that to sink in, he's already outlining the symbol, saying the incantation of tracking kidou. It takes longer than usual, the numbers flickering past- but it finally catches, a dim register.

There was no hesitation when Kurotsuchi left for the site, not sparing the time to respond to the post itself. There was no panic, or particularly strong concern, or particularly strong anything. Just flash step after flash step, entirely on automatic. There was no need to think.

His senses were already on alert when he got there- minutes later, but it seemed like much longer, the other's soul not as... intense, as it usually was. He saw him before he felt him, even, scanning the location, the obvious threat, flash stepping beside Yuca without a word- really, the first thing he says is 'Bakudou 30 - Enkosen' - creating a shield of light behind them to ward off another explosion, while trying finally to figure out what was going on.]

Because you're a filthy muggle. Muggles don't deserve to live in this world, any world. They're lower than the lowest filth and they all need to be terminated.

[He raises his wand as Kurotsuchi arrives on the scene and he merely lets out a laugh.]

So it seems reinforcements have arrived. No matter...I will still have my fun.

[He points his wand directly at Yuca and yells out his curse.]

Crucio!

[Yuca was surprised at the sudden appearance of the shinigami, blinking and trying to suddenly make sense of what was going on. He almost managed too, if not for the jet of light that permeated the barrier.

The Kidou weakened the spell plenty, but it was still painful. Yuca cried out, staggering back, his eyes wide with shock and brimming with pain.]

[There was a flicker of surprise when the attack made it through the barrier, if weakened - and in the back of his mind he was making notes about the force, the effect.

Unconsciously, Kurotsuchi reached out to steady Yuca, grabbing his arm, moving to stand in front of him, positioning himself between them. It was still automatic, but cold, and deeply annoyed.]

Bakudou 61, Rikujokoro!

[In a flicker the barrier faded, six beams of light shooting out and expanding, encircling Sirius and attempting to crush into him, hold him in place, render him immobile.]

... Yuca, is someone coming for you?

Yes, they have.

[A warm smile.]

Thank you for your concern though!

You're welcome. Just making sure. Where are you now?

I'm with my friend. I've been making some cookies; would you like one?

Sure! Who would I be to turn down a cookie?

You'd be pretty crazy!

*No time for text, there's a sparking dog woman on your screen.* Where are you?

I... um.

[What is that seriously.]

*Okay, he doesn't seem to be in danger at the moment...* Are you safe?

I am now! Thank you for your concern.

[Sent a little time later, only after he's confirmed that Yuca's safe.]

Are you hurt?

It hurt a little. I'm fine now though.

[He smiles, and it's genuine.]

Hurt what? What happened?

[There's less worry there, more protectiveness.]

I don't particularly know.

[A light frown.]

He shot something at me and it hurt. But mister Kurotsuchi saved me, and so now I'm making him cookies! Would you like some?

... Yuca-san?

Yes ma'am?

Are you alright?

I think I will be, thank you. Mister Kurotsuchi saved me.
