Third Rebirth- [Voice]
[The audio clicks on into silence for a moment- Yuca has already seen and dealt with the images presented to him (mostly) and has his mask securely in place. His empathy is doubly hard to pull off, as it conceals both his anger at his own images, and his amusement at everyone else's despair over a few insignificant deaths.
Nevertheless, he sounds melancholy, sad almost for his fellow prisoners.]
So many visions of death... I wonder how many people here are still alive in their own right? Or aren't guilty for someone else's death. ...You're not a very nice bunch, are you?
Has anybody questioned the possibility of... whatever this is being a fake? Surely, the Animus has the ability to create something that may seem like the truth, but is really just an elaborate hoax?
[Private to Rain || 80% Unhackable]
[His voice shifts very suddenly- angry, frustrated, distressed.]
What kind of fool sacrifices everything for a senseless cause? Is this a trait most of your insignificant people share? Is this what they taught you?
[Softer, more fragile, barely audible after his harsh speech.] Rain, you idiot. How could you?
This isn't real. It can't happen. Not even you would...
[[ooc: Yuca gets the smallsmall scene in which reborn!Yuca is held hostage and Rain rips out his cross to save him. Ouch.]

They detail exactly what happened- silently, he shows them to Rain, his eyes lowered to the ground. Dora Folk- a man Rain might recognize, but Yuca does not- with a knife to a child Yuca's throat, threatening his life. Yuca, protesting, saying that he welcomes death, and Rain ripping out his cross all the same. That's the last image- it's plain to see why Yuca is so distressed.]

[He studies the images intently for a moment or two.]
I don't remember anything like this--except Doctor Folk. He's the one who...
[He sighs.]
He wants the secret of my immortality, like everyone else.

Rain...
You know what choice to make- if it ever comes down to my life against yours. Don't you?
[offline]
[Though it's not the choice that Yuca's thinking.]
[offline]
Despite its longevity, you still only have one life. Don't throw it away for one so worthless as mine.
[offline]
I know that. If ever something like this did happen, though, I can't be sure what I'd do.
[offline]
...live, Rain. I'd be back soon enough anyway.

You've got what you came for, Yuca. You have confirmation. Now what else do you want?
[offline]
[He crawls back a little, shaking his head.]
Nothing.
[offline]
[His eyes shift back onto Yuca with a hint of compassion in them.]
It's raining, you know. If you need shelter...
[He looks away again.]
This building is big enough...

Rain, I haven't- I haven't slept since I got here.
[At this angle, it's plain to see the dark tones under his eyes. Yuca hates this, hates looking vulnerable, hates needing Rain like this, but he doesn't have a choice if he wants to sleep safely. And swallowing his pride was most certainly better than his dreams if he sleeps alone.]
[offline]
Well, I suppose you're tired, hm?
[A brief pause.]
...I suppose if you want to sleep here for the night, I wouldn't mind.
[offline]
[It's probably going to happen again.
Yuca undoes the buttons at his shoulder and slips his robe off, leaving him in the white collared shirt and black pants- the outfit he killed himself in, how lovely. He doesn't need a bed- spreading the garment out along the floor next to Rain works fine for him, and he hooks an arm up for a makeshift pillow and curls slightly.]
Promise me you'll be there when I open my eyes.
[offline]
Of course, Yuca.
