Twenty-Seventh Rebirth [video]
[The video clicks on, and Yuca is nowhere to be seen.
The scene itself is dim, cast in Kurotsuchi's laboratory- the feed is centered on a small white cat in the center of an operating table, lit by the rietsu lights overhead. There's nothing for a moment (the calm before a storm, a sign of things to come) and pale arms from off the camera reach out, to stroke the cat's head, petting it gently. A hand pulls back, off the feed and returns with a syringe. This isn't going to end well.
The cat jumps when the needle touches it, but the other hand forces it firmly in place as the needle pierces the skin and forces the liquid (a strange silvery color) into the creature.]
Due to the small size, [a voice off the screen- Yuca's voice- murmurs,] and the amount I injected, it should be enough to start seeing physical changes in a few minutes or so.
[It's unclear as to whether he's talking to someone else or simply documenting this for posterity's sake, but the hands move back to absently pet at the cat, settling it down from its former aggravated state. As the hands pet it, they also gently loop a rope around it's neck for precaution. At any rate, nothing happens for a minute. Another minute ticks by, and it seems that nothing will happen.
Unfortunately for everyone, this is not the case. The cat twitches, before letting out a mewl of pain. The bones in its head start stretching out grotesquely, fangs sliding down beneath its lower jaw. The skin, unable to keep stretching, starts ripping, exposing wet, bulging muscle underneath. The creature twists, shifts, lets out an inhuman shriek of pain, and starts to convulse. Bones keep growing beyond the means of the skin and ripping sharp, jagged edges into the open air. Claws lengthen, piercing and scratching an agonizing sound into the metal table beneath them.
The beast snarls, and a pair of strong arms yank it off the screen by the rope looped around its neck. Sounds of a cage opening and slamming shut can be heard, and Yuca's voice again-] It'll break out of there soon- I'll let it go before it gets strong enough to.
[The camera finally gives a shaky jerk to the side and Yuca's face comes into view. His cheek and chin are spotted with blood and he clears his throat, eyes narrowing toward the camera. The priest collar looks so out of place now.]
I've upped the stakes, Dora Folk. You may be able to fend off one, but I'm making more. Tens, maybe even a hundred if I feel like it. You can't fight them off forever, and when you fall, I'm going to rip the cross from your chest and laugh as you die screaming.
[Another pause. Yuca looks thoughtful and wipes at the blood on his cheek, leaving a little smear of red that matched his eyes.]
Wow. Winry, Topher- [He smiles, kindly. Smiles like he's addressing a best friend, smiling like the innocent priest he told everyone he was. It's the same smile he fed to them all with every single lie.] I couldn't have done it without you. I'm so glad we're all friends.
As for the rest of you... my angels will be set loose on Adstringendum. They're supposed to be after Folk, but they're likely to attack anyone who gets in their way. But look on the bright side- [something flashes in his eyes that isn't quite sane,] you'll always come back, right?
[[ooc: And finally, Yuca's true colors.
Angel log is up.]]

Not bad... and they're as dangerous as they appear?

[Yuca purses his lips at the cage the angel-cat was contained in.]
They're not simply animals- they don't hunt people to eat them. They live only to attack, to kill. They have no higher function than to kill. Or at least, to do as much damage as they possibly can.

It's not hard for him to see his son is hurt. And you don't do that. You don't hurt his family, whether it's physically or emotionally. He's not going to reply. But he is going to do something about this.
You don't hurt his family.
