[The PCD turns on to soft static- nothing, barely even breathing can be heard, and for a moment, it almost seems as if it was accidental, before-]

...a year.

[He lets out a quiet sigh.]

I've been here a year. Not long at all, all things considered, but...

[Yuca trails off then, and is quiet for another short while.]

The flowers are blooming in full. I think I planted too much- they're covering the ground like a blanket. But it's nice to sit out there, and it will be for awhile yet, I hope.

As for the greenhouse... [He pauses in thought.] -would next week be alright with you guys? Perhaps Tuesday evening, to make sure the event is truly over? I don't want anyone to get hurt on my account- and I do appreciate this. I'm going to make some stew, and I believe Sebastian is making a cake- everyone else is free to bring your own food, it's going to be something of a potluck.

[Another still silence.]

I've seen a lot of people come and go. It seems to be the will of this place to rob us of those we care deeply for and leave nothing but the memories and question as to whether they existed at all. This uncertainty- 'will I be next? will it hurt? where did they go?' -it travels with us, sometimes consumes us. But eternity- [He realizes he's babbling and quiets himself, confused.]
