Ninth rebirth- [text]

I have a hard time seeing how the Animus were able to summon giant turkeys, just for our displeasure. Unless they somehow arrived here like we did?

This... seems like a silly question- but does anyone have anything resembling these creatures from their home world? It seems odd that such a monster could just be created out of thin air.

[identity profile] meteo-sniper.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
You mean turkeys or animus?

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah- I was talking about the turkeys, but the idea that the Animus may have come from another world is an interesting one as well.

[identity profile] meteo-sniper.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Turkeys in my world are smaller then these, and not dangerous at all. They're quite commons, in ah, certain areas. As for Animus, who knows maybe they're stuck here too?

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes- turkeys in my world are similar. I've never seen or heard of anything like an Animus before... but maybe it's true. Who really knows how anything winds up here, anyway? For all we know, we could be being lied to.

[identity profile] meteo-sniper.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Can we be lied when there is no information in first place, to be the substance of said lie?

What we know, is only that there is or are some sort of beings, that are able to warp the reality of this place and our mind. Which is fact. And everything else is a theory.

[personal profile] al_truism 2009-11-30 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Usually the turkeys aren't giants in my world, but I guess someone into biological alchemy could have concocted something like this.

[Hesitates.]

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Alphonse! [A smile that they both know is fake, before getting down to business.]

Biological alchemy? How is that possible, unless- someone fused a hundred or so of them together?
al_truism: (AHAHAHAHAHA please stop talking)

[personal profile] al_truism 2009-11-30 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yuca. [Al smiles back, and it's definitely real, but there's still a distance in his eyes.]

...

No, because then it would be a giant blob of a hundred turkeys mashed together...

[... which would be horrifying.]

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shrugs]

You know more about it than I do.

[Screened || Unhackable]

Genetic engineering, however, could also be a likely method. But the turkeys bear no resemblance to Angels, so I doubt any of this could have much to do with my world.
al_truism: (?!)

[personal profile] al_truism 2009-11-30 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Alchemy might have something on genetic engineering... it can alter things at a molecular level. Living, organic tissue is made of most of the same things inanimate objects are.

Theoretically if someone could isolate the growth hormones of the turkeys and turn the metaphorical switch upwards, and then add more testosterone to make them more aggressive, that could make these.

But why would anyone do that?

I know a world where such things exist.

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Giant turkeys? Is it possible that these here could have come from there?

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It's unlikely, and for a number of reasons.

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Just a thought. It's not impossible that the scientists could have made them all by themselves.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone needs to give me a few good lessons in this science.

Yuca. How are you? Aside from berated with the ghosts of giant turkeys?

[He laughs.]

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Alright. Much better, now that Lady Unohana patched me up.

[identity profile] constantshower.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 04:33 am (UTC)(link)

Nothing like that. I'm just curious what he found out! Aren't you?

Chocobos are similar in that they are bird, and they are big enough to be ridden.

They are, however, remarkably more intelligent than those.

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. I don't think- chocobos? I don't think they exist in my world. What are they like?
ff_red_turk: (calm)

[personal profile] ff_red_turk 2009-12-03 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
There are a few roaming around here. I took a picture.

They're taller than a man. We use them as mounts, particularly army transport.

[identity profile] neverquitedies.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow... those look interesting. Like large chickens.
ff_red_turk: (profile)

[personal profile] ff_red_turk 2009-12-04 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
They're rather difficult to catch when wild, but we also breed them.
